4/26 Brunswick to Savannah Ga. 7.6 hours

A John morning, under the auspices of all the work we did packing the boat the day before, we left at the break of dawn--10:30 A.M. The Southerly 20 to 25 mile an hour winds pushed Kids Again to speeds of 17 knots and best yet, kept the dreaded horse and deer flies from devouring our bodies as we traveled through the clay red waters of the Georgia marshland. The georgous marsh is picturesque, but after the first two hours boredome sets in and there is no new views seemed worthy of our unlimited supply of digital photos. We waved as we passed Kilkenny Marina, thankful to be passing the secluded location of Vicky's heart attack last May.

Tides were unusually low and several sailboats were stranded in the channel, the markers were actually on land. The good news was the South winds aided our crossing of the Altama and Ossabow Sounds.

Our friends, Pat and Scott Stovall met us for dinner and we were excited to find our we were celebrating his birthday. In lieu of the calories of cake and ice cream John and Scott celebrated with Cognac and Vicky was happy to find someone to have a cup of her new flavored tea.
