5/25 -5/26 Westprot Marina

Waiting for a friend at Westport Marina

It was another beautiful day on Lake Chanplain so we decided to continue as far as we could

We purchased a new battery from the Carroll's at Westport Marina and walked the town while waiting for it to charge. Another trip to the 50's. the battery did not solve the problem. Larry diagnosed the problem as water in the engine. He took the fuel injectors off, and vacuumed the out the water and air dried the cylinders, changed the fuel and oil filters. He finished about 8 pm
The problem was water entering the engine through the exhaust manifold. The water loop exhaust system must have failed. Larry sent us 30 miles across the lake to Shelborne Marina since they had a larger parts facility.
Westport Marina is a family owned business and Lane and Larry were very helpful . I couldn't resist the photo of the cat sleeping on their display shelf.

John and Cutter making the best of an extra evening at Westport.
