5/25 Westport Marina
We saw a lightning show across the lake in Vermont. As we were settling in for the evening the rain started. Soon we felt rocking John tied another line and before he could add any more fenders the wind picked up and lightning was everywhere. We were blown broadside onto the floating dock for at least an hour. Everything that wasn't secured was on the floor and all we could do was sit tight and hold on. Cutter wasn't happy. As the lightning subsided, We went out to survey the situation. The stern line on the sailboat in front of us had pulled loose and it was swinging precariously in front of our boat. We moved our boat out of harms way and re secured the sailboat.
The storm had generated a tornado and hail in several locations. It was the topic of discussion for the next week in New York and Vermont .

Glad you were "safe and sound" and thankfully you were there to secure the sailboat. Sounds like one of the summer squalls we get down here.
