5/28 Burlington to Canadian Border

Just for our daughter, Linda, we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream before we left

Our boat was docked right at the party deck. The night before we left Burlington
Customs is always an anxious time. We tied up in very windy weather at the Canadian customs house which seemed to be on an island the middle of nowhere. John and I got out of the boat with passports and Cutters papers and boat documentation. As we entered the building. I saw cutter jump out of the boat. I waited with him as John checked in. They never asked about the amount of liquor or wine aboard as I had worried. Finally, on our way.
Immediately, we couldn't understand our VHF radio. French is spoken as the primary language .
