June 19 -20 Long Lake to Smith Falls 10 hours

All of the lock stations are pristine with blooming flowers. I think they try to outdo each other.
We stopped at Hurst Marine one final time to pick up our rebuilt prop, only to find out it cost more tan the purchase of a new prop. Hurst was kind enough to bill us at his cost.
We continued with minimal Saturday traffic up the canal. A few open stretches of very wind very windy (25 to 30 knot) areas wore Vicky out.
We were anxious to dock at Smith Falls and enjoy the city. As we tied up along the wall we encountered a new problem. OVERHEAD TREES. So we moved to the space over the falls.
A huge branch snapped off above our bimini, fortunately no damage, just a boat full of branches, leaves and tree bugs. We moved the boat and continued our walk of the city to find the Hershey chocolate capital of Ontario and thought of our daughter.
Still amazed by all the flowers blooming everywhere.
Creative artists painting the doors.

What do you do with a lock chamber no longer being used?

Smith falls is a very exciting city.
On my morning walk , I discovered jet black squirrels
and again the many flowers in each yard
