5/6 Midway to Atlantic Yacht Basin VA 4 1/2 hour
Midway was everything Vicky had been waiting for. We woke up the next day to fog at 6:30 so thick we couldn't see across the 150 ft. canal. The sun finally burned it off about 9:30 . The same sun made it almost impossible to paint. My new major worry was getting the paint on the paper before it dried, instead of watching the channel markers.
We decided to make up some time and left at 2:30 only to arrive at the 6 ft high bridge at 4:15 and had to wait for the 6 P.M. opening. We followed the lead of the sailboat and anchored for the hour and a half. Atlantic Yacht basin was ready for our arrival. at 6:30 Another learning experience check the times for bridge openings.
