5/6 Chesapeake Va to Deltaville Va Part 2 6 hours

As I said in the last blog, we laft Atlantic City Yacht Basin at 1 in the afternoon, after fixing a few minor problems. The trip was longer because of the 2 hour no wake zone. John remembers Norfolk for the bridges and congestion. He is right.

We were overwhelmed by the size of the Navy Base, especially when compared to Mayport.

These are just a few of the many photos Vicky took from the rocking boat as John drove through the no wake zone.

As we entered the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay we saw a Navy helicopter towing a boat. Quite and expensive to and in the background of the picture is part of the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel.

Since we got such a late start, we decided to continue past our usual 4 or 5 o'clock usual stopping time adn continue to Doziers Regatta Marina. A very wise choice. The friencly staff made the stop a great experience. This is one of the nicest marinas we have visited. and it's pup friendly.
